Invisible Kitchens:

The Challenge: 
To optimize the allocation of local medical and elderly care resources in Taichung City, addressing the critical challenges of a rapidly aging population.


The Approach & Outcome: 
By spatially overlaying aging population density with the service coverage of existing care centers, the study revealed significant inequities and poorly planned distribution of amenities. By quantifying the insufficiency of beds and facility capacities, the work established a baseline for stakeholders to evaluate the status quo and a framework for future strategic healthcare investment.
